about

This 3 track single features multiple versions of the same song. Originally written by Rachel in 2007 on piano, it was recorded with full instrumentation in 2008. In 2010 Rachel's computer music and theory mentor, composer Mitchell Turner, remixed the stems for her first self-released CD (prior to adopting the moniker Motion Sickness of Time Travel). In 2020 Rachel re-recorded an acoustic version while revisiting these old compositions.

The collage is a cropped version of a 17 x 20 piece created by Rachel in 2011.

Digital Download Only.

about

Motion Sickness of Time Travel Georgia

"Prolific drone-maker Rachel Evans has a knack for shaping subtle rhythms, slow crescendos, and the wordless phrasings of her own voice... What makes it so enchanting is the way Evans melts her tones together; her vocals and synth seem to spawn each other. The result is a single, pure vision that just might make you believe there’s order in the universe." - Pitchfork ... more
